Cold Calls to Medical Doctors Don’t Attract Chiropractic Referrals

What do medical doctors, chiropractors, salespeople, and store owners have in common? They all need to develop relationships if they want to stay in business.

People don’t like to buy from strangers. Medical doctors are no different. They’re not going to refer patients to you if they don’t know you or trust you—yet.

The key to attracting professional referrals to your chiropractic practice is to keep building relationships with medical doctors in your community.

Don’t waste money on marketing methods that aren’t effective. Focus on getting known one-to-one with medical doctors in your area. Get your staff involved, too.

Your goal should be one new relationship-building activity each week that will contribute to developing a referral base for your practice. What are you doing to attract professional referrals? What else can you add to your referral program?

Start slowly and build up your referral program. Do you consistently send medical reports on your chiropractic patients to their primary care medical doctors? Why not? This can be the beginning of a successful referral system for your practice.
